Keeping you up to date

It has been sometime since we last wrote to you all.  This has mainly been due to the absence of a number of members of the committee on holidays, however, we now have a quorum of committee members back in circulation.  Here’s the latest news – as normal mentioned here is also on the web site.

Those of you who sent claims for compensation to the clerk to the trustees will probably have received a letter from him saying that the claim is unfounded and telling you that if you wish to pursue it to contact a firm of solicitors in Epsom.  We are reviewing the next course of action.

All of you who have registered your concern about the closure with us have had your details passed onto the Charity Commissioners.  Their work is continuing and we are unsure at this time when they will report back to us on their findings.

Our bank account has now been set up.  You can make donations through internet banking or by paying a cheque/cash in at any Barclays branch.  The details of the account areas follows.

Account Name - Parsons Mead Action Group,  Sort Code -  20-29-90,  Account Number - 40091898,  Bank - Barclays,   Branch – Epsom

I
f you are paying via the internet please put your name in the reference so that we know who has made the donation, also please send an email to payments@pmparents.co.uk  detailing how much you have donated and when.  No donation is too small.  Many thanks in advance.

Since the last update there have been several articles in the press – see the website for details

A website containing pictures of Parsons Mead has now been opened at  www.parsonsmeadphotos.com  - please take a look and submit any photographs that you might feel are appropriate to the webmaster for this site annie-montague@hotmail.co.uk.

Its also worth reading about Bedgebury school which has gone through a similar set of events – you can find this on the website or by following this link

We have published an editorial detailing one interpretation of the events that have occurred – this can be found on the website

The next meeting of the Parsons Mead Action Group will be on September 14th at St George’s Church at 7:30pm , I hope that you will all be able to join us there.
