What about the staff?

As well as the children and parents caught up in this we must remember that all the employees of the school both teaching and support staff have lost their jobs.  This is the latest information we have managed to glean from various sources.

As we understand it none of the staff have been allowed to have union representation at any meetings even though the staff were allowed to be members of unions.  The unions were not recognised by the Parsons Mead Educational Trust.  

Very few of the teaching staff have found permanent jobs (with the exception of the ones who were already leaving to go to new jobs before the closure was announced).  Some have one or two term contracts, some have part time positions.

As for the support staff, some have retained their position for the moment at the school, many of the others have found new jobs and have started work already.
